Promoting Skin-to-Skin

Like St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, our regional health authorities are also working to promote early, uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact between mother and babe immediately following birth. Research has shown that skin-to-skin contact is good for all babies and moms. See More Information section for parent resource sheets on the importance of skin-to-skin contact.
