There’s No Hug Like the First

Did you know that skin-to-skin contact can be safely implemented, for most babies and mothers as soon as the baby is born, and it provides many benefits for both mother and baby? Skin-to-skin helps newborns regulate their body temperature and establish successful breastfeeding while mothers experience lower levels of pain and increased satisfaction with the birth experience. Check out this new poster “There’s no hug like the first” and reach out to your healthcare provider to discuss your options for skin-to-skin contact.
